Leo Howard knows how to kick it... literally. With a black belt in Shorinryu karate, he was a multi-time world champ by the time he was 8. That’s a skill that comes in handy when he has to slay mutants as Grover on Freakish (season two is on Hulu now!), but the 20-year-old’s talents don’t stop there: He’s also a super skilled singer and guitar player and even has his own band, Ask Jonesy & Company. Perfect in every way? As it turns out, pretty much...

Here's everything you need to know about Leo Howard....

He's super caring “In a way, I’m like [my character] Grover because we’re both sensitive. He is always trying to do the right thing. He cares a lot about his sister, Mary [Mary Mouser], and his girlfriend, Violet [Liza Koshy]. But in an apocalypse, I think I’d be much more hardcore. I would just want to stay alive!”

He's got the funniest friends “[Freakish co-stars] Liza and Meghan Rienks are two of the funniest people I have ever met. Together, they are absolutely hysterical. They always make the long days on set fly by.”

He's an amazing BGFOlivia Holt called me last year and pitched me the idea for her ‘History’ video, and I was in right away. Shooting a video like that could have been awkward, but it wasn’t at all. We were laughing the whole time.”

He hearts Halloween “Last year, a few girls I knew were talking about going as Harley Quinn [from Suicide Squad]. So, I went out and got myself a Harley Quinn costume— fishnets, a mini skirt, the hair—and did the whole thing. It was hilarious; I loved it.”

He knows how to find his zen “Jiu Jitsu is my happy place. I’ve done it my whole life, and I’ll never stop. It’s how I relax.”

He's #boyfriendgoals “Right now, I’m in a relationship with a girl who lives halfway across the world, so I fly out to see her all the time. I’m lucky to know her.”
